This information was taken from our school's yearbook 2008....
I would like to add to my statement that it was a thrill to perform at the rockies' game, especially since my father was able to travel from Tulsa, Oklahoma and be there for the performance.
My lovely bride, Loni and our daugther, Kara with her husband, Lance our our grandson, Tony, along with many of our friends from Grover.....
Loni's mom and dad also were able to make the trip from Dix, Nebraska
to watch me play and enjoy the Rockies game.
Oh Say Can You See?
On June 16, 2008 Mr. Holton had the honor of playing the
NationalAnthem at the Colorado Rockies baseball game.
After submitting a tape of himself playing the anthem at one of our Varsity football games,
he got the call and was on his way to the Bigs!
62 students, faculty and parents attended the game and cheered loudly for Mr. Holton and the Rockies.
Unfortunately, the Rockies lost but Mr. Holton was a winner! Of the experience,
Mr.Holton remarked, "Now I can say, been there, done that and I look
forward to the next time I get to play there and who knows where else?"
