Vocal Singing Helps

This Fall I began my 25th year of teaching music, i.e. general music, music appreciation, vocal music and instrumental music.

I have taught music in Colorado, Oklahoma and Wyoming.

My present position is in the Pawnee School District Re-12 in the rural setting of Grover, Colorado.

 GO COYOTES!

We have approximately 88 students in grades Kindergarten through 12th grade. The average class size is 8 and the smallest class is the 1st grade with three students.

My wife (Loni) and I are "empty nesters"... sort of ...

Loni has completed her studying/training and is now practicing the healing art of reflexology with several clients she works with on a weekly basis. Her ministry is called InStep. beinstep@hotmail.com.

We have also begun a ministry along with InStep called InStep Respite and Retreat  for anyone in ministry that needs a place to stay. Offered free of charge here in the rural setting of Grover, Colorado. Our first guest was Carolyn Thorson a Missionary Nurse from the Bongolo Hospital in Gabon, Africa. The weekend she was our guest we had 10 - 12 inches of snow! What a difference from her home in Africa!

We now have pictures of the respite and even launch a website in the near future! Stay tuned for more updates!

While Loni grows her ministry she also is busy remodeling, beautifying our home and taking care of me. (Which she says is her biggest job).     : )

Our oldest daughter, Krista lives near Fulda, Minnesota with her husband (Pete) and our grandchildren,

Brayton (6 yrs), Ranissa (4 yrs) and Tayden (1 yr).

Krista is a Nationally Certified Massage Therapist and operates her own massage therapy business called "Tapestry Life".

Our youngest daughter, Kara  and family live in Fort Collins, Colorado. She is an employee at the Book Lovers Bookstore in Fort Collins. Her husband Lance is part of a development team at Hewlett/Packard in the Fort Collins plant, soon to celebrate his 10th year of employment there.

Our grandson Tony who is 6 years old and started Kindergarten this fall.

Our son, Jordan, earned his G.E.D. from Hawkeye Commuity College in Waterloo, Iowa this past summer and also was the recipient of the "We Believe In You" scholarship that is decided on by the faculty of Hawkeye Community College! He is living with us for now and plans to continue is education in the fall with a music education or music therapy emphasis.
